Australian Alps, 2023: Bush Blitz expedition report summarises the initial scientific findings of a Bush Blitz expedition to Kosciuszko National Park (New South Wales) and Alpine National Park (Victoria) in the Australian Alps. Between 30 January and 10 February 2023, the expedition team recorded at least 1,076 species, including 12 species that may be completely new to western science (5 beetles and 7 true bugs). One threatened reptile and 54 plants were also recorded, along with 36 weeds and 11 non-native or pest animal species.
